1. I suggest watching the movie “This is England”. Look here for more information about the movie. Start here by looking at the trailer.
2. Look here for a clip of the nationalistic battle to get rid of the immigrants.
3. Watch this television clip from BBC about the war.
4. The battle for the Falklands

Tasks:

1. Use topics here to discuss in groups of 3.
2. Write about the Falkland war. Where are the Falkland islands? .
3. What is typically British? Your own opinion + factual information. Does “This is England” reflect typical British norms, values and traditions? Write a satirical article on your blogg. Enclose pictures!
4. Discuss the themes of “This is England” and their relevance to present day England. Use BBC news and other sites to find information about the current social situation in England.
5. Write a character study of Shaun or Combo
